Radio Four is based on a photograph I took while visiting family in England, and attempts to capture the gentle quality of the English summer, contrasting it with the pink heat of Brooklyn in August. Working with the master printers at Kayrock, I manipulated the the photographic halftone image to appear airy and slightly faded. This effect is amplified by the geometric neon surround, while the printed line of stitching acknowledges the work’s status as a physical object.
